Our delicious beef comes from River Bend Meats, a local family-run farm serving the Hunter Valley some of the tastiest and freshest beef around.
Why is grass-fed, grass-finished beef such a big deal? What does it mean?
Put simply, farmers have the option of feeding their cattle grass, or grain.
Grass-fed means that the cattle are fed grass for their entire grazing life. Grass-finished means there's no sneaking in some grain every now and then, cattle eat only grass until they are harvested.
With grass-fed beef the meat itself is leaner. It has less fat deposited throughout vs grain-fed or grain-finished cattle, so it is healthier meat that's bursting with natural flavour.
Every review about our beef will mention how good it tastes. You can seriously taste the difference on your first bite.
Being grass-fed AND finished, our cattle roam freely on lush pastures. It's also better for the land, improving soil health and cutting down on nasty chemicals. Plus, the cows are happier roaming about our family farm!
